This "Briefing from the Grand Council" will provide researchers with an overview of the emergence and discussion of parliamentary instruments in the Grand Council around pandemic preparedness and response. In addition, the event also provides an opportunity for networking among attendees.

About the event
This "Briefing from the Grand Council" gives researchers an overview of the emergence and discussion of parliamentary instruments in the Grand Council around pandemic preparedness and response. The aim of the event is to provide researchers with an insight into political practice at the cantonal level and to explore together where there are points of connection to the university and university research. In addition, the event also offers the opportunity for networking among the attendees. A small sandwich lunch will be provided.
The event is a collaboration between the Franxini project and the University of Bern and takes place within the Franxini Innovation Hub program.
Program
- Introductory speech by Bernese Councillors: Christoph Zimmerli, Hasim Sancar and Maurane Riesen.
- Open discussion with all participants in small groups on hurdles, opportunities and science relevance to the topic.
- Summary and conclusion
Important
The event will be held in German. Registration is possible for members (researchers and students). The number of participants is limited and registration is therefore mandatory.
